Abercrombie slip dress; Blank NYC jacket; similar heels; Trina Turk bag; sunglasses; Kendra Scott necklace and bracelets
You guys, the 90’s called, and they’ve shipped that pesky little slip dress trend twenty-five years into the future. And while certain versions of the 2016 slip dress trend scream Cher Horrowitz just a little too loudly (as if!), I must admit that there are a ton of options out there that I love. It’s fall’s best layering piece and looks equally fab under a jacket as it does over a t-shirt, turtleneck, button-down blouse, you name it. Seriously! Think 90’s, and just go with it.
Annnd, now let’s get down to the fit. A lot of the options out there can leave a girl feeling a little…naked. So if you’re like me and prefer a slip dress with a little more, umm, coverage, then this is the one for you, girl. I love that it has a longer hem and is (drumroll, please) bra-friendly. Basically that translates to super-duper comfortable for day to night. It’s available in two colors and is currently on sale for just about $35. I wasn’t into the whole slip dress thing and ordered this one sort of on a whim, but once it came in the mail I was like, wait…I’m obsessed with this dress. Dress it up with your favorite metallic heels or go for a more casual look with menswear-inspired oxfords or tough booties. Whatever you do, let’s have a little fun with it, shall we?
