OK, y’all – bear with me here for one more Valentine’s Day post, but trust, it’s worth it. While I’m A-OK with the non-holiday holiday this year, I totally understand that it’s not all that and a bed of roses for some friends. (And to be honest, Eric isn’t all about it, so it’s like, HEY! let’s go to dinner!) But if Valentine’s Day has you all in a funk, then maybe it’s time to think of it in a whole new way.
If you think about it, who’s that person (or persons) that always makes you feel so loved? (I touched on it over here.) For as long as I can remember, my parents have always been my Valentines. They’re just, the best. About eight or so (hundred) years ago I found my forever Valentine, Eric, and I swear, he knows me better than I know myself sometimes. Smarts, I tell ya. But somewhere in between, through the high school and college years, the break-ups and make-ups, the a-holes (sorry, Mom!) and keepers, the failed classes and aced tests, there are the gals that helped you through it all. The Gal-entines!
