Another September Fashion Week in the books, and I’m not gonna lie, it was kind of a blur. I still have so much content to share with you guys, but today I’m sharing the easy-peasy, comfy, cozy pants that I now want to take on every trip in the future. Over the past couple of seasons the athleisure trend has been everywhere, and joggers of all styles are the stars of the show. And I’m so not mad at it. Is there anything I’d rather put on than a pair of slouchy joggers? Not really. And this lucy IndiGO pair just took things to a whole new level. These look like a favorite pair of denim, but they feel like the silkiest lightweight workout-wear. The translation? Pants you don’t want to take off in the chicest athleisure style. After hopping from show to show in heels, dresses, and who knows what else, I couldn’t wait to throw these on for exploring the city. (And truthfully, they totally could have made it into the shows with me.) Whether dressed up with mules and a loose blouse or worn casual with sneakers and my favorite leather jacket, these joggers were seriously MADE for travel.  Plus, check out the rest of the lucy IndiGO collection here, including the boyfriends and track jacket that I can’t get enough of.  I’m headed home for now, but not for long.  Tomorrow I take off for yet another city this week, and these joggers are already packed.

Freakin Weekend, Y’all

I mean, I know it’s only Thursday, and technically this was a short week, but anyone else ready for the freakin weekend?  This girl is READY.  Maybe it’s also because I’m down South for a girlfriend’s wedding, and I’m ready to get the party started for one of my oldest friends.  With the recent SoCal heat wave (which is a thousand times amplified here in Louisiana – hey, humidity), this lightweight tee is getting plenty of play, Monday through Sunday.  (Suburban Riot seriously makes the cutest tanks and tees.  Check them out here.)  I pulled this skirt from the very back of my closet, but luckily I found an almost identical version from this season.  And then, Nikes all day.  So here we go, one day early.  Cheers to the freakin weekend, y’all!

Just barely Monday morning, and the post-weekend blues are coming in hot.  Anyone else wishing they could hit snooze a few hundred more times?  Uh huh, join the club, sister.  If you’ve been signed up with LiketoKnow.it, you may have noticed that you’ve stopped receiving the emails associated with it.  (And if you haven’t signed up yet, what are you waiting for?  Sign up here.)  There have been a couple of changes to Instagram lately, and with those changes, your LiketoKnow.it account needs to be re-authorized.  But don’t fret my pet, it’s a breeze to update.  All you have to do is head online and log into your account.  And don’t forget – you can always manage the settings in your account so that you receive the LiketoKnow.it emails ASAP, daily, weekly, or even never.  So in case you missed these over the past couple of weeks, today I’m rounding up a few recent Instagram shots and showing you where to get the goods.  From a cushy new bedroom rug to the comfiest pair of skinnies and even the brightest set of kitchen bowls, these are a few of my favorite things this week.

Happy weekend, friends!  Today I’m channeling my inner Sporty Spice and getting down with the athleisure trend for a little weekend wear.  Is there anything better than a t-shirt dress?  The answer is yes.  A t-shirt dress with pockets trumps pretty much anything.  Throw it on with sneakers and a jacket from three years ago that you’ve worn 467 times.  Also, this bag.  Y’all, it’s under $100, but it feels SO nice.  I’ve been scootin’ around town with this bag all week because it fits all my stuff and is just plain cute.  Anyone else feeling extra ready for the weekend?

Who’s ready for a weekend getaway?!  Now I know what you’re thinking.  Umm, didn’t you JUST go to Bermuda and Miami?  But hear me out: When your new house is still under construction, your old lease is up, and you’re living out of suitcases anyway, you might as well take one of those suitcases on a little weekend getaway.  And even better than that, pack a small bag.  One bag.  And get outta town.  Road trip up the California coast, anyone?

It’s no secret around here that I’m a huge fan of lucy for sweat gear and (let’s face it) not-even-planning-to-sweat everyday basics, but did you know they also have some adorable day to night, sand to street pieces?  You do now, girl.  Check out the adorable LBD below or the shirt dress that’s also the easiest lightweight beach coverup.  (You have to feel the fabrics to believe them.)  The romper and long cardi that I chose above would make for the perfect airplane or road trip duo, and how cute (and versatile) is this black wrap top from my second look?  Cute, sure, but here’s the real kicker.  Every piece is lightweight, so comfortable, and won’t look like a wrinkled mess after you unpack it.  (Important, right?  No one wants to look like a slob kabob on vacay.)  So throw in a swimsuit, a few fun accessories, sneakers and sandals, grab your best guy or gal, and let’s go!  Destination: Anywhere.

Recently I’ve been running around grabbing those last-minute things that I need for New York Fashion Week (AKA, #allthewarmthings!), but all I am is distracted by all things spring.  Y’all!  There are so many pretty little pieces coming ‘atcha, and right now I’m loving all the white.  Blame it on the whole bride thing.  Or blame is on the fact that we’re currently in an 80-degree-days heat wave here.  I mean, this necklace, this skirt, and this lace dress.  I don’t even know what to do with myself besides, well, a little online shopping.  Who’s with me?

Low Key Style With Target

After the hustle and bustle of the holidays and getting all dressed up for this party and that, I spend my January wondering just how acceptable it is to leave the house in my pajamas. While I never really win that internal battle with myself and the PJ’s are left at home, I do try to take things a little easier and avoid heels whenever possible. I’ve 100% bought in to the whole “sneakers go with everything” trend that’s happening right now and spend the rest of my days in comfortable, flat booties.  As far as clothing goes, I’ve been living in distressed skinnies and found my two favorite pairs recently at Target.  Their high rise jeggings are seriously amazing – fit true to size, feel so comfortable, and cost under $30.  Add a slouchy sweater like this total Target steal, and you’re on your low-key way without looking like a pajama-clad slob kabob. Need a little more laidback inspiration?  Try a simple pair of black leggings (the ones below are fleece-lined – SO cozy!) with a basic tee and cardigan.  Have fun with accessories – like a coated beanie, mirrored aviators, a handbag, booties – the athleisure possibilities are endless. Check out a few more of my favorite picks below from Target as well as a fun little video.

Happy Hump Day, people!  How’s everyone’s week coming along?  Mine’s been a little cuckoo, but today is going to be a good one.  I’m headed up to LA for the day for a bit of beautification and a lot of red carpet oogling followed by the People’s Choice Awards.  Whaaat?!  I know.  I’m so excited to see the glitz and glamour up close and personal this year and will be documenting all the goodies via Twitter and Instagram.  And speaking of Instagram, today I’m rounding up a few recent shots and linking all the goods for those of you who just aren’t down with the liketoknow.it thing.  (Although you totally should be because, y’all, it’s legit.  You like something?  It’s sent straight to your inbox.  Just like that, girl.  But anywho…)  Hope you guys are having a great week!
