Madewell plaid dress; denim jacket; GiGi New York bag; Mari A. booties (c/o); Tom Ford sunglasses (c/o) Eye Buy Glasses; Julie Vos necklace and bangles
If there’s one thing that my closet definitely doesn’t lack, it’s plaid, plaid, and a little more plaid. As I type this post and stare into my closet (that STILL has no closet doors on it…), the “plaid section” is quite noticeable. And for good reason. In the fall here, I live in plaid shirts and dresses because they’re the easiest way to dress the part for fall without suffering some massive heat stroke. Admittedly, I’ll probably pair this plaid dress with over-the-knee boots a little too early in the season and suffer the consequences, but it’s all worth it, right? And I’ll do it with some sort of pumpkin spice something in hand. For now though, I’m loving this plaid mini with peep-toe ankle booties and the denim jacket that I probably wear WAY too much in the fall. If you don’t have a denim jacket that you love, it’s time to get one, girl, and then throw it over your shoulders, tie it around your waist, or actually, you know, wear it. For me, this plaid mini is the best plaid shirtdress I’ve found so far because I love the loose fit, shorter length, and pockets, but below I’m rounding up a few more shirtdresses that I love and they’re all under $100. I’m thinking this plaid section of mine could use a couple of new additions this year.

Can I ask what size you ordered in the plaid dress? I think we have a similar body type. Thank you!

Hi! I’m usually somewhere between a M and L, and this one is a medium and fits perfectly. 🙂
