Say hello to my new favorite summer skirt.  Oh, hellooo.  It’s totally not something I would normally go for, but I figured I’d give it a whirl and I’m so glad that I did.  The key for me here is the long vest which helps keep a nice vertical line for the eye.  Without it, I thought that the skirt and blouse combo chopped my torso too short and had me feeling like a pudgy old lady.  (Definitely not the look I was going for here.)  If a vest isn’t your thing or you’re just looking for a different route, pair the skirt with a half-tucked super fine knit sweater or tee for a more dressed down, boho feel.  Also, these heels.  I’ve had them in my closet for a bit, but I’m just now realizing how much they complete me.  (Too strong?)  Seriously though, I’m pretty sure everyone needs a good pair of nude or blush suede heels in their life.  They make any outfit instantly better, and you just can’t hate the leg-lengthening factor.  (Unless you’re going for that pudgy old lady thing in which case, you do you.)

xoxo
