Zara dress (also love this one); Dolce Vita wedges; knit handbag (under $20!); similar hat; Karen Walker sunglasses (affordable version here); Jemma Sands beaded bracelets; Julie Vos ring
Happy week after Easter, friends – how much leftover candy you got lying around? And when are you inviting me over? Just kidding, I’ve got enough here that I’m working on. #NoQuitting. Also not quitting? My love for denim dresses in the spring and summer. I swear, people think I’m crazy for loving on some denim in the heat, but hear me out. What’s better than a denim dress that doesn’t cling (and basically doesn’t touch you) in the heat? This one from last year is still my main jam, and you can find an identical version from the same company here.
Another go-to that’s not going anywhere? My love of a good summer hat. Y’all, since chopping off the long locks (well, ditching the extensions and then chopping my own mane) almost a year ago, it’s been a bit of a photo struggle with the short baby hairs. Trust, in the day to day life, the short hair is 100% easier to handle. Quick blow-dry or pony and I’m on my way.
But when I’m taking photos for the blog, I pretty much pray for zero wind. One little breeze, and I’m looking like a crazy person, or, you know, Harry from Dumb & Dumber. That’s, uh, quite the description, but you get the idea. So back to the hats. I started loving on a good summer hat a couple of years ago because I’m not trying to get wrinkles, friend. And now I love them doubly because there’s nothing better for taming a mane. (Or hiding some roots, let’s be honest.) So click around below if you want to see a few that I’m currently crushing on. Whether you need it for your mane or for your skin, you just can’t hate on a good lid, girl.
xoxo
