Ahh, the trends, y’all.  They come and go every season, and for the most part, I’m usually pretty excited for the new “cool” things.  If anything, it’s an excuse to shop, right?  (I mean, what were the chances you actually had sock booties in your closet already this year?)  Now I’m down to try a lot of things, but this fall’s “it” trends are kind of a mixed bag.  The baker boy hats or whatever we’re calling them these days have GOT to go.  (I’m sorry.  I said it.)  Also, everyone suddenly walking around in berets like they’re freshly returning from Paris?  NO.

Admittedly when I first saw the whole white bootie trend, I was also like, I’m gonna go ahead and pass.  I used to have this rule that shoes, handbags, and sunglasses NEVER look best in white.  (And for the record, I still feel that way about sunglasses.  Please stop with the white sunglasses.  Just say no.)  But then something strange happened, and the white bootie thing started to really grow on me.  What in the world?

Now I know that the kicks in today’s post aren’t actually booties, but to me they’re maybe better.  I love the pointed toe and metallic heel, and I think they’ll be equally wearable with denim.  And the best part?  They’re right around $35, so if you’re looking to dip your baby toe into the white bootie slash mule trend, these are them.  Also, the tie-waist shirtdress is under $50 and just really freaking cute.

Now I gotta know – what trends are you loving or hating this season?  Are you into the white booties?

xoxo
