Hello and happy Tuesday from Playa de La Paz, y’all! Last week’s trip came at the perfect time because (besides getting far, far away from our construction project home) I finally got to break in some of the new spring and summer pieces that I’d been staring at in my closet. A flowy midi skirt and my first ever crop top (that actually fits!) were just made for a vacay. (As were hats with everything to cover the wind-blown mane.)
And then there are the shoes. These lace-up cork heels from Johnston & Murphy are the perfect summer update on the staple style from fall, and they’re the only heels I brought with me to Mexico. While packing, I really couldn’t think of any other pair that I might want with me. In the perfect neutral shade, they’ll seriously go with everything this summer, and as an added bonus, they’re SUPER comfortable. I’m imagining these with every dress, skirt, and blouse in my summer arsenal and can’t wait to add them to the shoe shelf in our new and improved home. Is that crazy? Call me crazy, I don’t care. Just be prepared to see these on serious repeat in the coming months.
If heels aren’t your thing though, there are a ton of other summer styles from Johnston & Murphy that are just too good to pass up. How cute are the perforated suede sneakers below? So perfect for pairing with denim shorts and this super soft striped tee for exploring San Diego next week. (Yep, the packing begins again…) If you’re looking to get your hands on a pair of your own, then you’re in luck because I’m teaming up with Johnston & Murphy to give one lucky guy or gal a $250 gift card to kick off their summer shoe wardrobe. Just follow the prompts below to enter. Good luck! Johnston & Murphy sneakers and striped tee (c/o); straw bag; denim cutoffs; straw hat; duffel bag
