Favorite Fall Fashion Finds from Walmart

September 1st, and just like that, my brain has made the switch, and I can’t stop thinking about all things fall fashion. (Never mind that our weather isn’t quite there yet – that’s never stopped me before. 🙂 So today I’m kicking things off with some favorite fall finds from Walmart, and their fall fashion options are GOOD.

While sneakers are probably not going anywhere anytime soon in my wardrobe, I’m pretty excited to get back into boots and booties for fall. The pair I’m wearing above is seriously great quality and couldn’t be more comfortable – they actually have a memory foam lining inside that is SO cushy. I’ll definitely be wearing these throughout the season with dresses, faux leather shorts, and skinny jeans, which are still A-OK in my book. Speaking of skinnies, this coated pair above fits SO well and is priced around $10.

I spent lots of last fall kicking it in sweats and loungewear, but this year I’m excited for all the comfy, relaxed denim options. (LOVE the pair below – so comfy and flattering.) They’ll be so cute with cozy sweaters in a couple of months, but for now, I’m loving them with easy graphic tees and a lightweight fall layer for cooler nights. Lots of Affordable Looks Lately: July

Happy Thursday, friends! It’s been a while since I rounded up a whole bunch of recent looks, so today I’m doing just that. And while I didn’t actually plan it this way, pretty much everything in the post is super affordable. A couple of my standout faves? These ivory denim shorts that I wear a ton are currently marked down to $14. (I sized up.) This linen shirt from Amazon is so great over a swimsuit or paired with denim shorts, both below. I live in these $15 graphic tees, and this adorable romper is almost 60% off.

As for the shoes, can’t recommend these leather slides more, and they’re currently 20% off which I’ve never see before. And if you’re looking to dip your toes in the athletic sandal trend, this $10 pair is so cute and beyond comfy. Also, loving these sandals I snagged from Amazon and this $40 pair of New Balance sneaks.

18 Pretty Spring and Summer Dresses (Starting at $13)

And just like that, it’s almost MAY. It sounds so crazy to even say it, and between trips to Florida and Hawaii and some time spent in Palm Springs, it’s been a while since I checked in here. So, HI! What a difference a year makes, and I can honestly say I’ve never been so excited for spring and summer to arrive. We celebrated Eric’s birthday over the weekend with a BBQ and some pickleball in the street, and somehow it felt like summer was already here. (And after last year, it sort of feels like we earned it.)

So today, I’m celebrating summer days to come with a whole big roundup of warm weather dresses that I’m loving. 18 of them, to be exact, and over half of them are under $40. Seriously, the amount of cute and affordable little dresses I’m finding this year… it’s starting to get…expensive, ha! A Few Favorite Jumpsuits for Spring

When it comes to my wardrobe, I have to admit – when I love something, I love it hard. Gladiator sandals were in, I wore them to DEATH. Stretchy culottes of the 2000s? I had every color. Comfy, cozy loungewear and all the matching sets of 2020? You know I went all in, and I’m not ditching a single piece yet. (In fact I’m just doubling down and grabbing more sets and comfy basics for spring, #NoRegrets.)

And in addition to the loungewear love I’ve currently got a big ole thing for jumpsuits. (To be fair, I’ve kind of always got a thing for jumpsuits, but they’re currently in heavy rotation around here.) It started with the tailored, strong shoulder version above and pretty much took off from there. The Softest Spring Joggers

Because my jogger addiction needed a reason to transition into a whole new season, I present to you the “spring jogger”. (These are actually called “summer sweatpants” on the website, but no need to skip ahead a season.) Now I’m no stranger to warm weather sweats, and last year I kicked it through quarantine in this little matching shorts and short-sleeved sweatshirt combo (that I now own in more colors than I care to admit) all spring and summer long. Recently I also snagged this shorts and sweatshirt combo from Target and have been living in it.

So when I stumbled upon the “summer sweats” above and below, let’s be honest, it wasn’t a real stretch for me. I will say though, I’m pleasantly surprised with how much I love them. They’re so lightweight, seriously soft, and are exactly what I want to throw on with a tee or sweatshirt lately. They currently come in two colors and run a bit big, so I’d recommend sizing down. Sizes sold pretty quickly and tend to come in and out of stock frequently, so if you’re looking to snag a pair, just keep checking.

For the days when you want to wear sweats but feel the need to wear “real clothes” (hello, responsibilities), there’s just no beating an easy, comfy dress. With sneakers or booties (or sandals in the spring), I love the effortlessly polished vibe that a dress gives off over your everyday jeans and sneakers, and luckily here in SoCal, we can almost wear dresses all year long. The Denim Joggers You’ll Want to Live In

Well 2020 was certainly the year that I embraced all things loungewear, and while I fully intend to get dressed a bit more in 2021, that doesn’t mean I’m kicking the sweats to the curb anytime soon. In my defense, much of California is still operating in shutdown mode with a ban on all indoor AND outdoor dining, among other things – so we really don’t get out much around here besides the weekend bike rides. Also in my defense, I REALLY freaking love all the loungewear out in the world right now and see no reason to call it quits.

And so when I discovered joggers that look like jeans but are actually made of super soft jersey that’s just printed to look like denim? Say no more and sign me up because these joggers are seriously comfortable and somehow flattering as a bonus. They come in two “washes”, fit a bit on the bigger side (I’m wearing a small in these) and are admittedly a splurge. (I snagged them during an after-Christmas sale using a gift card, so they seemed somewhat reasonable, ha.) I’ll definitely keep an eye on these to see if they go on sale anytime soon because I clearly need them in the other wash now, right?

Loungewear lovers rejoice – our favorite fashion just got a little upgrade.

Heads up, friends – one of my favorite online boutiques is having a sitewide sale, and if you’re in need of a little wardrobe pick-me-up, I think you’re gonna want to take a scroll. Happy Friday, friends. I normally like to kick off the new year with some sort of new year goals post or at least a little look back at 2020, but the first week of 2021 has come and gone and to say it was a disastrous hot mess would be an extreme understatement. Holy embarrassment. So I’m calling a redo and officially kicking off the new year next week. (And no, I’m not trying to make light of this week’s events – I just don’t currently have the words.) Please, sweet baby Jesus, let us all get it back on track this year. As soon as we all re-learn to love and respect each other, the world will be a whole lot better for it.
