This little crochet dress came just in time for our latest heat wave, so I couldn’t help throwing it on the day I pulled it out of the box.  Paired with a favorite vest and leather booties, it felt fall appropriate but still cool enough.  We celebrated the wedding of two great friends this weekend, so I’m moving pretty slowly this Monday morning.  (But hey, better late than never, right?)  Hope everyone had an amazing weekend!

Are you guys sick of these Free People shorts yet?  By now I’ve worn them about 100 times, but I can’t help myself.  On the warmest days they’re all I ever want to wear.  Today I’m remixing the vest from Monday’s post with an old favorite tee and my trusty cutoffs for an easy, slightly nautical feel.  These gold flats were kind of an impulse buy in San Francisco, but I’ve since worn them a ton.  They’re SO comfortable and pretty much go with anything.  I finished off the look with a bit of color: a bold Tory Burch bag and a new turquoise statement piece from 9th & Elm, a really cool site for handmade and independent designers that you might not find elsewhere.  I have a couple pieces from Kristin Perry, but this necklace was definitely a score on 9th & Elm.  I wore this look for a Friday afternoon bike ride and happy hour and really am in love with every piece.  What are some of your go-to items in your closet?

One of my favorite ways to transform an outfit is with a vest, and when I found this one recently at Old Navy, I knew that it would go so well with so many things in my wardrobe.  I love mixing dressy and casual pieces for an eclectic look, and this sequined skirt worn with the cargo vest is definitely one of those pairings.  Mixed leopard and stripe prints add a bit more interest, and simple accessories finish off the look.  Stay tuned this week to see more ways to wear this vest.

I’ve noticed a definite trend in my closet additions lately, and it involves a lot of white.  This little white dress from Rieley is one of those perfect, throw-on-and-go styles that can be worn a million different ways.  For today’s look, I went with a bohemian vibe and added an ombre vest, wide-brim hat, and these adorable booties that are on killer sale right now.  I finished things off with a go-to crossbody bag and mixed jewelry favorites.  Speaking of jewelry, one of my favorite brands Gorjana has just launched on Nordstrom.com, and the collection is really, really good.  And while we’re on the subject of Nordstrom, right now it’s the Annual Sale, and well, that’s always really, really good.  Happy shopping and hope everyone has an amazing weekend!
