Hello, friends!  Love it or hate it, the Hallmark holiday of love is upon us.  And while it’s easy to call it stupid and talk down on the whole song and dance, I gotta admit I’ll take any excuse to get dressed up and go out these days.  (I blame 2020.)  So this year, I’ll be celebrating Galentine’s Day with a little girls’ dinner and Valentine’s Day with my main squeeze.  (Although Valentine’s Day with Eric will be a few days early because I got reservations at a cute little beach restaurant I’ve been wanting to check out and because going out to eat on the actual 14th is a real racket.)

And so today I’m sharing a couple of cute and comfy Valentine’s looks at a couple different price points in case you’re looking to rock a little red for this sort-of-fake holiday.  And you’ll probably notice I’m playing favorites in the accessories department – just can’t quit these boot / hat combos.  (Also, we’re currently in a heatwave in SoCal, so no coat in sight, but if you’re not so lucky in the weather department, add a coat, a pair of tights, and chic black boots.)

It’s that time of year again, friends.  February 14th is right around the corner, and whether you celebrate Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day, or just the fact that we (almost) made it through January, there’s always reason to treat yo’self or a gal that you love, right?  So today I’m rounding up a few (or a slew) heart-shaped, love-themed, pink and red Valentine’s Day finds to give or keep.  Nothing says “I love you” like a little something from me, to me.  Happy Friday, guys!

Last week I shared a few favorite red dresses for a little Valentine’s Day style, and today I’m getting back in the spirit of lover’s day with some of my favorite gifts, goodies, and treats to give or receive…or maybe to give to yourself.  #TreatYoself

Now don’t get me wrong – I’m certainly not opposed to flowers and chocolates (chocolate-covered strawberries to be exact – it’s my one request every Valentine’s Day).  But eventually roses die and those berries will just go to the hips, but adorable new pajamas are forever.  (Or at least until I’ve spilled my morning coffee on them again and washed them about 400 more times.)

Two-toned sunglasses, a new statement heel, a vacation-worthy romper, or a jar of bath fizzies – you really can’t go wrong if you treat her (or, ahem, yourself) to something a little luxe.  So happy shopping, friends, and hope everyone has a great rest of the week!

Well looky here, February already.  Although I can’t really say already since I think that January was actually 465 days long, but here we are, kicking January to the curb.  And let’s do so in a bold red dress, shall we?

Red is definitely not one of my usual go-to colors (except when it comes to my favorite everyday handbag), but if I’m gonna wear red, then February is the time to do it, right?  Y’all, I don’t know what it is about these lace dresses from Aqua, but lately they’ve been a no-brainer for anytime I need a dress.  I scooped up this short-sleeved number for a wedding back in November (and wore it again for New Year’s Eve), and have been hooked on the line ever since.  (That first dress is currently on sale for $35 today, and I can’t recommend it more.)

So when I came across the long-sleeved lace dress in today’s post for half off, I knew it was too good to pass up.  I thought the red was so fun for any upcoming Valentine’s (or Galentine’s) Day plans and a little out of the box for me, but if you’re anti little red dress, it also comes in black.  And if you’re looking to get in the spirit, then I’m rounding up a bunch more red dresses to love below.

Sooo, clearly this year I’ve gotten really into this whole Valentine’s Day style thing (see here), but I just can’t help myself.  It’s our first married Valentine’s Day, so whatever, sue me.  We’re keeping things pretty low-key and walking to one of my favorite little spots in Lido Marina Village, but who says you can’t get a little dressed up just for the fun of it?  Same goes for a little Galentine’s Day dinner and drinks with the girlfriends.  Also, no need to reinvent the wheel here, so today I’m showing you how to recreate 8 looks from past posts that are perfect for the upcoming made-up holiday.  The best part?  Some of the pieces are now on super sale, so see something you like?  Go ahead, treat yo’self, girl.  Hope everyone is having a great week!

Just another Friday, hanging out here on the blog in my finest threads.  To be honest guys, these days you can mostly find me in jeans or leggings (heavy on the workout leggings this week) and sneakers or loafers, but if there’s one time besides the holidays to get all gussied up and put your best dress forward, it’s Valentine’s Day, obviously!  No one does “dressed to the nines” quite like Parker, so when I spotted this red number on their site recently, I was like YESSSSS.  This dress just screams Valentine’s (or Galentine’s!) Day to me, and who doesn’t want a little Lady in Red moment?  (Insert red dress emoji here – it’s one of my most used emojis to be honest.)  If you’ve got a little something fancy in your near future, I can’t recommend this dress (or anything Parker, really) enough.  And if there are no fancy pants plans in your future?  Then obviously you need to make some!  Hope everyone has an amazing weekend ahead!

 Today I’m sharing another Valentine’s Day date night look, and this Parker dress is probably one of my all-time favorites.  I borrowed it from The Stylist LA, and sending it back was definitely not easy.  I’m thinking there will definitely be a place for this beaded beauty in upcoming wedding plans of some sort.  Any excuse will do.
