Y’all, last weekend we had our first taste of Spring around here, and it was delicious.  We spent the entire day on Sunday Lounging (with a capital L) outside on our back patio, just watching the boats pass by.  I’m telling you guys, this whole “temporary rental home”  while we remodel thing could really become a permanent in my book.  (More on what in the world I’m talking about here.)  Just don’t tell Eric.  It was 75 degrees and beautiful, so I took full advantage and used the day to break in a new favorite pair of denim shorts which ultimately just got me thinking about ALL OF THE SPRING THINGS that I can’t wait to wear.  Shorts!  Sandals!  Dresses!  And denim jackets with just about everything.  (Spring evenings are always a little chilly around here.)  I seriously need that little striped dress at number one, have already ordered the wedges at number two, and was so surprised at the prices of numbers four and eleven.  (And I think you will be too!)  So whether you’re enjoying a little California sunshine or currently surrounded by snow (sorry!), take a peek into Spring, and let me know – what are you guys most looking forward to wearing next season?

For me brunch style is all about cute comfort, and this outfit fits the bill perfectly.  And because this little ivory dress wasn’t meant to sit at home, Eric and I headed out to (what else?) brunch with a couple of friends last weekend at Blue Water Grill here in Newport Beach.  My favorite brunch spots in Newport always involve being outside with bonus points for being on the water.  (Check, check.)  We had an amazing meal and enjoyed beautiful weather, and well, there’s pretty much no getting spoiled more than that.  If you’re looking to get your brunch on (and let’s be real, who isn’t?), then head over to Hautelook and pick out a little something for yourself – the sale ends Tuesday!

Hey, hey, gals!  Today I’m teaming up with Kohl’s to bring you a little taste of (what else) florals for spring.  Now I know what you’re thinking.  “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.”  But hold the phone.  Can you think of a more significant, fun, or just all around pretty print for spring?  I think not.  So say hello to your inner flower child and just go with me here.

With spring’s nicer weather and longer days, it seems like the weekday events, dinners, and after-work drinks with friends and colleagues kick into full swing.  While I’m not complaining (Hi, happy hour!), it does help to have a few wardrobe staples lined up that easily transition from day to night, and tapered floral pants can easily do the trick.  I picked these up recently at Kohl’s and was surprised by how versatile they are.  For day, pair them with a lightweight blouse, denim jacket, and sandals or wedges (these are SO comfortable for all day wear), and once the sun goes down, switch to heels, an embellished tank, and leather jacket.  So while you may have a few floral pieces in your current repertoire, if you don’t have a great pair of floral pants, get on it, girl!  Happy shopping, and here’s hoping everyone is having a great week.

Today I’m taking Monday’s look from day to night with just a few small tweaks, and I’m not gonna lie, I think every woman needs this little coordinated set in her closet.  It’s ultra lightweight, perfect for those sweltering summer days, and right now it’s 40% off.  It’s great for day with sandals and a denim jacket but transitions easily by switching out the denim for a sleek blazer and adding a pair of nude heels.  Tying it all together with a monogrammed clutch, so very Southern of me.  Hope everyone’s week is moving right along – no stops on the Weekend Express.

It may not feel like it everywhere, but Spring really is just around the corner.  This coming weekend we’re setting the clocks forward, and this girl is excited.  Though we’ve got a bit to wait before it’s really warm out, this little Tolani dress is perfect for those summer days ahead.  It’s super lightweight, but the colors make a big impact.  Add booties or a pair of gladiator sandals (my continued obsession), and you’re set.  Little to no accessories required, but a killer fringe bag never hurt anyone.

Today I’ve got my eyes on spring, and anything in a pale blue hue is my covet du jour.  I’ve always been a fan of light blue clothing for spring (it’s an easy choice for most blondes I think), but this season I’m loving all of the accessories, shoes, and handbags in my favorite color.  So whether you go all out with a baby blue maxi or grab a handbag for a small dose of the shade, these pieces are sure to get you in the mood for spring.

Woohoo, who’s excited for Monday?!  Just kidding, but how was everyone’s weekend?  I must say ours was pretty great thanks to some pretty amazing friends and neighbors who threw us an engagement party on Saturday night.  The evening was fiesta-themed complete with amazing Mexican food, killer margaritas, fun decor, and even a pinata. We got to celebrate our engagement with a few of our favorite people, and it couldn’t have been a better night.

Today I’m sharing a couple more looks from my shoot with the OC Style Report, and this time it’s all about the boho vibes.  Bohemian and 70’s styles are coming back huge for spring, and I’m definitely on board for that.  I LOVE a great pair of wide leg or flared jeans, and these McGuire flares from Bardot were right up my alley.  The Flynn Skye kimono was one of my favorite pieces from the day, and I actually ended up buying it in a different print after the shoot.  Add in a heavy dose of fringe, and I’m one happy camper.  Hope everyone has a great start to the week!
