Happy Friday, friends!  Today on the blog, handbag mania continues.  While I’m ALL about a good leather (or faux leather) handbag for everyday use (need proof?), sometimes I like to switch it up in the spring and summer months and have a little fun with certain outfits.  I mean, there’s a reason why you’ve probably seen four million and one bloggers out there carrying these bags.  It’s certainly not because they’re practical for everyday, it’s because they’re so dang cute with a little spring sundress, white denim, espadrilles, the list goes on.

And while there are so many great straw, raffia, embroidered, you name it little bags out there right now that I’m just dying to get my paws on, sometimes it just isn’t worth the splurge.  (And sometimes it is, but you know, that’s all up to you.)  So today I’m rounding up five right-now bags and their thrifty counterparts so you can decide for yourself, spend or save?

You know how sometimes you’re like, “hmm, I think we could use some more junk food in the house” and then suddenly you have a pantry full of snacks and enough Girl Scout cookies to win your own merit badge?  What, don’t look at me like that.  It’s called going a little overboard, and recently, I MAY have gone overboard in the neutral handbag department.

I’m normally a “change your bag everyday” kinda gal, but a few months ago I decided that I really wanted a neutral everyday bag that I could just throw on and go with any look.  And I REALLY had my heart set on this one.  I mean it was bad, y’all, I had caught a serious handbag fever.  But there were a couple of thoughts that prevented me from taking the plunge.  Besides the fact that I feel like everyone and their mother in the blogging world is currently carrying that bag, there’s that whole nagging home remodel that’s going on in my life.  Rats!  (I kid.)  And as an added bonus reason, it is tax season, but I’m not here to ruin your Thursday.
