Cabo Arriving in Cabo with Kathleen – Dress (c/o) Shop Bella CSandalsBarrington Gifts weekenders (c/o);  Hat
If you’ve been following along on Instagram (and I hope you have since that last computer of mine craaaashed, into a ditch…), I may have filled your feed with just a few too many photos from a recent trip to Cabo.  But hey, I just couldn’t help myself!  Kathleen, Jenn, Krystal, Taylor and I had the amazing opportunity to head down to Cabo for a week with Shop Bella C and stay in their beyond beautiful Casa Verde home in Pedregal.  (Casa Verde is a private home, but for those interested, there is a Resort at Pedregal that you should look into.)  At first I was a little nervous with the trip falling so close to New York Fashion Week (ahhh, so much to do, so little time…), but once we arrived, I knew that it would be the perfect relaxing week before the NY storm.

CaboFor starters, the house had a serious view:  two pools and ocean as far as the eye could see. – Shop Bella C kimono (c/o)

Before leaving for the trip we knew we wanted to check out Flora Farms, so we decided to go there for one of our first dinners.  We enjoyed delicious cocktails and a tour of the farm before dinner, but more on that in a later post.  You’ll quickly notice a theme here though: we tried LOTS of food!

The last time I visited Cabo I checked out the Hacienda Resort and Beach Club and fell in love with the view…and maybe the margaritas too 🙂  So on Sunday we headed there for lunch before taking a short, glass-bottomed boat tour.  Afterwards we spent a lazy afternoon in the ocean and swinging away at a local swing bar.

Cabo, boat tour, Blue Sky CaboCoolchange Tunic Cabo boat tour Monday evening we took a sunset cruise with Blue Sky Cabo, and it was probably the coolest thing we did on the trip.  The water and the sunset views were SO beautiful, and the staff was amazing.  (Plus our lack of “sea legs” made for some pretty interesting dance moves that you may have seen on Snapchat.  If you missed those dance moves, well, it’s probably for the best.)  If you’re headed to Cabo anytime soon, I’d definitely recommend a sunset trip with Blue Sky Cabo.

We pretty much spent most of our time hanging out together at Casa Verde because besides the few places that we really wanted to visit, there just wasn’t much reason to leave.  (The house was seriously paradise.)  It was the end of August, but I was pretty determined to finally get a little summer tan going.  I think I kind of succeeded.  Kind of.

On our last day we decided it was time to pull ourselves off of the pool floats and head back into town for one last lunch.  Thanks to everyone’s Instagram recommendations we had tried Bar Esquina at the Bahia Hotel for dinner one night and loved it so much we went back for lunch.  We were treated to the most amazing food and cocktail tasting there, from fresh ceviche to salads and pizzas, and had the best service.  For dinner (I warned you earlier, LOTS of food!), we headed to Bar Esquina’s sister restaurant Templo.  We were once again treated to a full dinner and cocktail tasting, from quinoa with octopus, to beef cheek tacos, to steaks.  (It was definitely a little adventurous for me!)  The staff at Templo is incredible, and the food was a welcomed break from the norm in Cabo.  I left in a seriously happy food coma, and I’d say it’s a must if you’re looking for something different while visiting the area.

By the last day I was beginning to think that we could just stay at Casa Verde forever, but as they say, all good things must come to an end.  (Although Kathleen and I managed to keep the vacation alive for one more day with an extended layover and cancelled flight in Phoenix.  Cue the endless Snapchat snaps while searching for that damn Embassy Suites shuttle…)  We did eventually find our way home, and looking back at these photos I still can’t believe how fortunate I am to be able to take trips like this with girls that I genuinely love.  So very grateful to Shop Bella C for sending us off on this adventure and thankful to you guys, the readers, who are always there with social media restaurant recommendations, Snapchat encouragement (all the LOLZ), and the kindest words.  Hope everyone’s September is off to a great start!

xoxo
