So how was everyone’s Memorial Day weekend?  We spent ours in Palm Springs, hanging by the pool, eating way too much, and laughing with friends.  It was an amazing few days of enjoying America’s freedoms and thinking about those who fought for it.  I’m eternally grateful to the men and women of the military, including a couple in my own family, and couldn’t be prouder to be an American.  Now it’s back to reality, and the real world can be a tough one to reenter after a long weekend.  A bright, colorblocked look (and the realization that Monday is already over) can help me ease into it though.  This LOFT dress (last seen here and recently tailored) is a standout without going over the top when paired with a hot pink bag and nude heels.  Simple accessories completed the look for a nine-to-five and beyond summer feel.  Hope everyone has a great (short!) week.
