The second day of Lucky FABB is always a bit more laidback than the first.  The first-day networking, tweeting, mad Instagramming, and brand experiences have died down, and the day is broken into small groups taking in targeted subjects.  For the first time, Lucky FABB actually took it to the Condenast building, and lucky for me, I caught a glimpse of the Anna Wintour.  (In case you live under a fashion rock, Anna Wintour is the editor-in-chief of Vogue, and she may or may not be the inspiration behind The Devil Wears Prada.  Yep, that Anna Wintour.)  She stared at me and a few other bloggers like fashion roadkill, and I didn’t even care because at the end of the day, she saw me.  Me in all my Nordstrom B.P. Department glory.  It was a thrill.  A thrill that I got to share over lunch with a few of my favorite people who just so happen to have kick-ass blogs: Jenna of The Over-Analyst, Danielle of LouWhatWear, and Beth of Seersucker + Saddles.  Meet them, love them, follow along.

After the conference wrapped, a few of us grabbed our very large swag bags (chiropractor needed) and headed to Bryant Park.  It’s one of those places that really makes me love New York, and we snapped a couple of outfit pictures before a glass (or two) of wine.  I’m really into perforated leather these days, and this skirt was a steal of a find.  Add a sweater, cape, snood, tights, and booties, it’s comfy, warm and cozy.  The next day, after sleeping through my alarm and missing my flight (the first time I’ve done that ever), I met up with Ashley of Side Smile Style and Lauren of PR Blonde for a little last-day shopping and coffee before heading back to California.  (And after an hour in Aritzia, the missed-my-flight blues completely vanished.)  Overall it was such an amazing trip, and I can’t wait for the next Lucky FABB.  The overall takeaway from the conference?  “It’s cool to be nice.”  And if Eva Chen (seriously cool girl and Lucky Magazine’s editor-in-chief) says so, it is so.

xoxo
