My love for a good matching set has been well documented over the last couple of years, and right now for spring I’m especially loving cute and comfy sweater sets. I’ve worn these little sweater sets from Target for years (which are still available here and here), but recently I grabbed a couple of new sets in fresh spring colors. I love that they can be worn together (like above) or separately with jeans or denim shorts (see below) to create quite a few outfits. Plus, they’re as comfy as a favorite set of PJ’s. Just add sneakers or sandals and you’re good to go.
St. Patrick’s Day is this week, and while I’m not always 100% into celebrating, I am conveniently VERY drawn to all things green this season. And luckily, green is everywhere for spring in every shade you could want. From lightweight sweaters and comfy loungewear to bold handbags and sandals, I’ve found so many new favorite green pieces lately.
So today I’m sharing a couple of favorite St. Patty’s Day ready looks with quick shipping that can arrive in time for the party. (Also apologies for the last vacay-ready look to all of you still stuck in snowy weather – I’ll be in Palm Springs for St. Patty’s Day where it will be 85 and sunny, so I had to!) You can also check out this post for a few more green ideas. Hope everyone has a great week ahead!
I was going to start this off by saying spring is just around the corner, but in Southern California, springtime is almost, pretty much, basically, depending on the day, kinda here. And I am READY for it. Ready for spring and ALL. THE. COLORS. Blame it on the times, but I’ve never been more ready to introduce a little fun into my wardrobe, and right now, the stores and interwebs are bursting with the prettiest, most colorful spring collections.
From soft pastels to bold brights in every color of the rainbow, you really can’t go wrong this season. Go all out head to toe, or just add a splash with a fun handbag, shoes, or out of your comfort zone sunglasses. Personally, I couldn’t pick a favorite, so today I’m rounding up some of my favorite pieces in a slew of spring colors. Which ones are you eyeing?
It’s no secret that I LIVE for an athleisure slash loungewear look, and when I can find great comfy basics that are also budget-friendly? Well I’d be a bad blogger friend not to share. I snagged these joggers (and the matching sweatshirt) a few months ago actually and have worn them so much that I just ordered the set in a second color. (I went with white, but there are currently 12 colors to choose from.)
I wash and dry (over and over) with zero issues, and I just love the overall fit. (I own the joggers in small and medium but prefer the small, and I have the sweatshirt in a large.) I also love that you can easily mix and match the pieces with other closet basics. If you’re like me and always on the hunt for the best weekend lounge essentials (or maybe looking for something cozy to kick back and watch the Super Bowl in), I can’t recommend this set more.
Hope everyone is having a great start to February!
I’m sure it goes without saying that I love clothes. I wouldn’t have started this blog ten years ago if I didn’t. But as much as I love clothing, my true weakness is handbags. (And shoes and all accessories if I’m being honest.) And while I do love an occasional designer bag splurge, I LOVE when I find a brand of handbags that only look expensive. I’d be a bad internet friend if I didn’t share my favorite affordable handbag line with you guys, so today I’m sharing some of my fave bags from Scarleton with a discount code cherry on top.
I’ve tried a handful of Scarleton bags at this point, and every single one of them looks and feels so much more expensive than it actually is. If you’re a backpack-loving gal, then I can’t recommend the backpack below more. It’s structured and roomy with adjustable straps and would be so great as a carryon for travel. The little white top handle is so versatile and pretty for spring and summer, but by far my favorite bag is this little crossbody that I now have in black and red. (Also currently crushing on the green, so PRETTY!) It’s the perfect size for everyday and comes with two different strap options, so it’s super versatile.
And right now my friends over at Scarleton are offering 15% off any of the bags here with code 15MYSTYLE. (You can type in the discount code during Amazon checkout.) I hope you guys love these as much as I do!
Sweata weatha, friends. And while I’m pleased as pie to surround myself with all the cozy knits, I’m just as excited to get back into denim-wearing days. I used to be mainly a dress gal, but these days, give me a relaxed pair of jeans and a comfy sweater and I’m one happy camper. And recently, I found so many jeans and sweaters to love from Free Assembly at Walmart.
Y’all, if you haven’t checked out the Free Assembly line yet, I’m telling you, it’s a must. It’s filled with quality, well-made pieces that you’ll be grabbing for over and over again. The collared sweater above could not be softer, and it’s just one of those pieces that goes with pretty much anything. (I sized up for a looser fit…and then I bought it in black too.) The denim above is right on trend and comparable quality to any designer pair I’ve tried. Seriously, if you like a good non-stretch 90’s pair, give these a try.
As for the comfy combo below, I’m 100% here for the jogger style of denim this season, and this easy pair comes in three great washes. Wear them with a sweater, or dress them down with a basic sweatshirt and sneakers. And while we’re on the subject of dressing down, don’t sleep on Free Assembly’s activewear. These leggings paired with this tunic sweatshirt (worn this week on my Instagram stories) look so expensive in person. I’m also mildly obsessed these perfect joggers and just may be posted up in them the entire holiday season.
So whether you’re on the hunt for some on-trend denim or looking to up your activewear game, you can’t go wrong with the Free Assembly line at Walmart.
Happy Monday, friends! Whoo, it’s been a productive day so far, and after a fun girls’ weekend in the desert, it’s actually been kind of nice to get back in the swing of things around here. So today I’m kicking off the week here on the blog with this skirt / sneaker / handbag combo that I currently can’t get enough of.
When I first saw this skirt online, I immediately thought it would be the perfect holiday piece, but don’t worry, I’m not trying to go skipping over the fall season on you guys. (I mean, it still technically feels like summer most days here.) And while I still think it has major December potential with a bodysuit and a pair of heels, I’m loving it dressed down for now with sneakers and a tee or in a few weeks with a cropped sweater and booties.
The waistband on this skirt is nice and thick and tight, and if you feel like you’re between sizes, I’d probably go up. (I’m wearing a medium here for reference.) When I posted this look over on Instagram, you guys seemed to be just as into the skirt as I am, and the best part? It’s under $20 🙂
Happy Tuesday, friends! Hope everyone had a fab Labor Day weekend. This week is definitely going to be a warm one (by SoCal standards at least), but I’ve still got my mind on fall fashion. And today, I’m sharing a couple favorite faux leather finds for the season that won’t break the bank.
First, these shorts (above). I’ve had these faux leather shorts a couple of seasons now, and I’ve definitely gotten more than my fair share of wears out of them. (You can see them styled differently here and here.) They’re just easy, comfy, under $30, and can be dressed up or down – I’ll definitely be wearing them with favorite sneakers a little more this year. They’re also an easy piece when I want to dress for fall even though our weather isn’t quite there yet. (And bonus that some sizes are available with Prime shipping.)
The joggers below were a recent purchase this year, and honestly I feel like the quality is SO good for the price tag – $35. The fit is super flattering, but they run a little big so I’d definitely size down (I’m wearing a small for reference). These seem to be fleece-lined, so admittedly they are pretty warm but will be perfect with lightweight tops a month or so from now. I also think they’ll be so cute with a cropped sweater and these fur-lined mules…Just as soon as this heat wave passes 😉
September 1st, and just like that, my brain has made the switch, and I can’t stop thinking about all things fall fashion. (Never mind that our weather isn’t quite there yet – that’s never stopped me before. 🙂 So today I’m kicking things off with some favorite fall finds from Walmart, and their fall fashion options are GOOD.
While sneakers are probably not going anywhere anytime soon in my wardrobe, I’m pretty excited to get back into boots and booties for fall. The pair I’m wearing above is seriously great quality and couldn’t be more comfortable – they actually have a memory foam lining inside that is SO cushy. I’ll definitely be wearing these throughout the season with dresses, faux leather shorts, and skinny jeans, which are still A-OK in my book. Speaking of skinnies, this coated pair above fits SO well and is priced around $10.
And because you know I couldn’t narrow my favorites down to just two outfits, stay tuned this week – I’ll be sharing more fall finds from Walmart that you won’t want to miss.
Happy Thursday, friends! It’s been a while since I rounded up a whole bunch of recent looks, so today I’m doing just that. And while I didn’t actually plan it this way, pretty much everything in the post is super affordable. A couple of my standout faves? These ivory denim shorts that I wear a ton are currently marked down to $14. (I sized up.) This linen shirt from Amazon is so great over a swimsuit or paired with denim shorts, both below. I live in these $15 graphic tees, and this adorable romper is almost 60% off.
