In summers past here on the old blog, you could usually find posts and posts with my favorite maxi dresses of the season.  They were always my jam, a throw-on-and-go staple that I couldn’t live without, but this summer has been pretty maxi-free for me.  (Well, unless you count these maxi pants that are freakin’ awesome.)

I just hadn’t come across any maxi dresses I loved this year, until I saw this one.  It’s that perfect, ultra-soft, gauzy material, has a built-in slip and the prettiest embroidery, and was the perfect piece for a recent Palm Springs shopping trip.  It was HOT out (112 degrees to be exact), but this little gauzy number somehow allowed me to breathe.

It’s really more of a midi dress which is actually perfect for transitioning into cooler fall temps.  How cute would this be styled with a favorite denim jacket and little taupe booties?  There are a TON of adorable fall bootie options here, but I’m really loving these and these.  (And these if you want a lower-heeled version.)

Here’s hoping you’re staying cool, friends, and that some cooler fall temps are right around the corner.  (A girl can dream, right?)

xoxo
