Good morning, guys, and happy Fri-YAY! Admittedly, someone got a late start today and is just now getting around to the whole coffee and adult life thing, but who’s keeping track? It’s already a beautiful, sunny day here, and I’m looking forward to spending the weekend with my love before I head off to Mexico on Monday. And I can’t even believe it, but tomorrow is our one-year wedding anniversary. Time has seriously flown by.
We’ve got a packed weekend of duties at the house, so we’ll really celebrate in a couple of weeks, but for now, I’m looking forward to a little Saturday date night. And unlike my usual change clothes seven times routine, I’ve already got the perfect date night dress picked out. How adorable is this little black pleated number from Banana Republic? Pleats have actually never really been my thing because I think they can be pretty hard for me to pull off, but I feel like this one just works with a belt. It’s so lightweight and flowy, and you know I love the fact that it has pockets. (Serious, can every flowy dress have pockets from no on? It’s so much more fun that way.) Add a denim or leather jacket and strappy heels and you’re good to go.
