Embracing the Pale vs. Going for the Glow

Happy almost Friday, guys.  That’s right, we almost made it.  So I came across this little black dress a couple of weeks ago and thought, umm, how cute for Spring?  So obsessed with the back of it.  And now looking at these photos, I spy someone who could use a little self-tanner.  Guilty!  But let’s be real, it’s February, and ain’t nobody got a tan.  (Unless you just spent a week in Mexico, in which case, where was my invite?  Rude.)  I’m totally not one of those religious self-tanners (obviously), but recently I had a swimsuit shoot (sneak peek over here) and felt that this bod needed a little tan.

So while I certainly haven’t tried out everything out there, I have found three products that I think really work.  This one is the cult favorite that everyone seems to love, and I’ve tried it and found that it does, in fact, work.  Honestly, I find it a bit pricey though, so I swear, these towelettes are the best cheapie alternative.  I used two at a time – per the instructions, you can use one, let it dry, and then use a second.  After only two days of using them, I totally saw a difference without streaks or missing spots.  And in a pinch, this is hands-down an amazing body bronzer.  My automatic draw-back of a body bronzer is that they tend to rub off on clothes, furniture, car seats, you name it, but after letting this one dry, it didn’t rub off on anything and produced a really natural color and glow.  It’s something I totally should have used on this particular day above, lesson learned.  Or maybe we all just embrace the pale, up to you, but if you’re looking to get your pre-spring bronze on, these are definitely my top three…for now.

xoxo

I’m feeling the same way about needing a tan! I recently tried St Moriz tanning mousse with the mitt and it worked like a charm and on Amazon was only $10! Definitely worth a try 🙂
