So we aren’t there yet, but in the middle of a hot and bothered summer, there’s nothing better than silk shorts to transition from day to night. Blame it on my Louisiana roots, but jeans in the summer were never a friend of mine. So what do you do? A dressed-up pair of short shorts is a great alternative to wearing that same little dress again. I love this paisley pair that I picked up recently from Zara, and coupled with a lightweight, gauzy blouse, they’re perfect for warm weather. During the day, flat sandals are the easy choice, but for night, dress the look up with a pair of statement heels. Finish with a few key gold pieces and a sleek handbag (like this fits-just-the-right-amount black and gold version from d’andrea handbags.) And what are you wearing this Friday night?
