I’ll be the first to admit it: I never really was that “jeans and sneakers” girl.  Seriously, never.  I grew up in Louisiana sweating out the summers like I was in a perpetual steam room and spending the fall and spring (mostly) in a school uniform.  I had a couple of pairs of jeans, but mainly for the weekends, denim skirts were THE thing.  That, or Soffe shorts.  Was that a thing for everyone else?  Because I just looked them up and found out that you can now get some colors for $1.  My high school self would have gone nuts – gimme ALL of the colors!

Fast forward to today, and I can’t get enough of jeans and sneakers.  (The mild California seasons certainly help with that.)  So much so that I found myself looking around our room at the rental house this week asking where in the hell did all these sneakers come from.  Certainly, someone else must have brought all of these in here, but nope.  It was me.

Recently I headed in to DSW to get my hands on these wedges (the look-alike dupes of one of the season’s most popular shoes) and somehow found myself roaming around three long-ass aisles of sneakers.  I don’t even know how many pairs I tried on that day, but somehow my wedge-shopping day turned into the day I came home with two pairs of sneakers.  Don’t judge me.

I’ve since worn these Nikes along with the other pair I bought that day SO. MANY. TIMES. and regret them zero.  They really seem to fit my construction zone life these days, no?  Anywho, I can’t recommend them enough, and paired with distressed denim (this pair is currently 40% off!), I’m weekend ready and zooming right through this Friday.  Suddenly, I’m totally one of those “jeans and sneakers” gals, and I’ll tell ya, it is not bad at all.  Hope everyone has an amazing weekend ahead!

xoxo

I am completely guilty of wearing soffe shorts to sleep in, so embarrassing I know! That’s what I grew up wearing in Texas too, so I feel ya!
