Riller & Fount dress (old, but love this version); Sole Society wedges; Forever 21 sunglasses; Rebecca Minkoff bag; Zara necklace; Vanessa Mooney rings; Boera Ring Well kids, it's Friday, and not just any old Friday. It's the Friday before a three-day weekend, and I couldn't be happier about it. Cue the comfy-as-pajamas t-shirt dress and far played-out Zara necklace. (Listen, after over four years together, I've misplaced my favorite gold watch, and I'm a little out of sorts about it. I've become attached with a certain embroidered collar, and I'm not taking it off.) Anyways, I'm pretty excited about some kick-ass plans this weekend, including a little wine-tasting and wedding-going, and I hope you're stoked about your own long weekend. How will you be spending the next three glorious days? xoxo 2 Comments Forever 21 dress (old); Old Navy jacket (c/o); Michael Kors clutch; Banana Republic wedges; Gorjana necklace and rings (c/o); Julie Vos bracelet (c/o); Lulu's bracelet (c/o); Ray-Ban aviators I'm all about incorporating a little color into my wardrobe this summer, so I'm excited to team up with Crystal Light and Glam for the #FeeltheFlavor Instagram contest. This one is all about bringing flavors to life and finding colorful moments from the everyday inspired by the six new Crystal Light Liquid flavors - Strawberry Lemonade, Peach Bellini, Iced Tea, Pomtini, Blueberry Raspberry, and Mango Passionfruit. Whether you're inspired by style (your own or someone else's), decor, or entertainment, share your finds on Instagram with the hashtag #FeeltheFlavor for a chance to win one of four goody bags full of fun summer essentials. (See rules and enter here.) The look above makes me think of Strawberry Lemonade, and this bold pink mini dress is probably the brightest thing I own. It's an oldie but goodie for sure. (Some would say I have a problem letting go of things in my closet, but when I pull out a dress I love that I haven't worn in years, it makes the clutter a little more worth it, no?) Since it isn't quite summer yet, I paired it with an easy denim jacket. Nude wedges, aviators, and a straw clutch completed the look. What flavors in your closet, home, makeup bag or surroundings are currently inspiring you? xoxo Crystal Light Liquid. 0 calories. Endless flavor possibilities. For every shade of you. http://www.crystallightliquid.com/ “Disclosure: Compensation was provided by Crystal Light via Glam Media. Keep the rest of the outfit neutral with a wear-with-everything ivory blouse and nude, barely-there heels. Finish with mixed flashes of silver and rose gold for a flirty, ladylike look that will take you from day to night in a flash. Hope everyone is having a fabulous week! xoxo P.S. - Now through Monday, May 27th, take an additional 40% off all sale items over atGorjana & Griffin. Plus, enjoy free ground shipping. While the suit itself is a pretty key ingredient to a summer by the beach, equally important is a cute coverup that goes from the sand to wherever the afternoon might take you. I'm loving this slightly sheer embroidered boyfriend tunic alone during the day or paired with denim cutoffs and one of their amazingly soft scarves once the sun goes down. If you haven't tried Subtle Luxury's beach-worthy California creations, now is your chance: one lucky reader will win a boyfriend tunic and spun scarf (like in the look above, worth $133) courtesy of Subtle Luxury. Simply follow the rules below. One winner will be announced on Friday, May 17th. Good luck! xoxo My Style Diaries was started with one thing in mind: your wardrobe. And shoes. And jewelry. Lots of jewelry. OK, so that's three things. And it was only a matter of time before it branched out to cover complete style, including a huge part of your (and my) personal style: beauty. I'm excited to start a new series on the blog to chat about beauty products that I'm currently loving, using, or lusting after, appropriately named Beauty Talk. With summer weighing heavy on the brain, there's no better beauty product binge to start out with than the ever-elusive beach waves. You know you've drooled over the pictures. That model off duty (ahem, Gisele) or beach-loving babe and her lust-worthy, looks-so-easy beach waves. I'm lucky enough to live by the beach, and I love the soft waves I get after a day spent in the salt air. Wanting to recreate the look, I've tried just about every pre-packaged "ocean spray" I can get my hands on, and above are a few favorites that have stood the test of time. (Bonus: They're also perfect for spritzing while you're at the beach.) Bumble and Bumble's Surf Spray is pretty much the holy grail. Perfect for beginners (or my fine hair), a few spritzes go a long way, and the smell is amazing. The Kevin.Murphy version is a bit pricy, but it leaves me with nice, conditioned waves. (A problem with ocean or salt sprays is the dryness that ensues. A little leave-in conditioner or dry oil spray usually helps.) The third, a spray by Wella, is a bit on the lighter side, and I've found that it's pretty easy not to overdo it. I usually spritz one of these when my hair is just about dry, and pulling my hair into a loose pony with a wide elastic (like the Emi-Jay ties above) can help to tame my frizz without leaving deep ponytail lines. If you're looking for an easy way to achieve those model-esque beach waves, I'd definitely recommend these, but I'm interested to know: what's your favorite way to create beach waves? xoxo My spring wardrobe needs this dress. Better yet, it deserves this dress...right? There are oh so many ways to wear this minimal little mini, but right now I'm loving the simple sophistication (and trend du jour coupling) of black and white. (And gold. And maybe a smidge of turquoise.) Pair the menswear-inspired mini with standout black accessories: cage sandals, a chevron clutch and oversized retro shades. Add a bit of metallic flare with a gold pendant, double cuffs and a bold ring. Finish the futuristic look with a sleek pony, and skip the old-school elastic in favor of a grown-up, crystal embellished hair tie. (Like this adorable version from Emi-Jay.) I've got it all planned out. Now, is there any reason I shouldn't own this dress? xoxo Get the Look! 1. Mango Metal Plate Dress $100 2. Gorjana City Pendant Necklace $63 (On sale!
