Riller & Fount dress (old, but love the new crop at Revolve); Margaret O'Leary sweater (c/o); Booties (c/o) Lulu's; Urban Outfitters bag; TLC & You bracelet (c/o); Vanessa Mooney necklaces; Boera ring (c/o)
Although summer is in full effect here, it still gets pretty chilly by the beach once the sun goes down, so I live for easy cardigans that pair well with my summer wardrobe.  I love the fringe trim of this navy version from Margaret O'Leary, and it's the perfect sundown topper for my favorite summer t-shirt dresses.  I couldn't help myself from taking the turquoise / tan fringe / silver jewels road, and I'm loving the way the outfit moves.  How would you wear this fringed cardi this summer?

I'm so happy that I got to spendFather's Day yesterday with my parents (especially my dad) who drove out to California from Louisiana.  Our plans included good friends and family, margaritas, and really amazing Mexican food, so I thought a pair of loose-fitting, wide-leg pants was my best option.  (And after my fair share of crab and shrimp enchiladas, I'm pretty sure these comfy pants were a good choice.)  I scooped up this blouse from a local boutique and love how the dots mimic the dot-like horse print of the pants, and the faux ostrich clutch takes the print one step further.  I finished the look with a new fun favorite: a red lip!  (Nars Dragon Girl, as recommended by a few ladies in the know.)  Hope everyone had an amazing weekend and an even better Father's Day!

As I mentioned yesterday, I spent the past couple of days in Seattle for a blogger panel with Nordstrom along with Devon, Sierra, and Mara.  The trip was definitely short but sweet, and it was really great discussing style blogs with some of the fabulous folks at Nordstrom and Glam Media.  After the panel, we headed to Nordstrom for a little shopping (obviously) where I purchased my first bold red lipstick, well, ever, thanks to a little prodding from Sierra and the lovely Brie from Nordstrom's PR team.  (You can check out the post-red-lip shot here.  You like?)  Overall it was an amazing first time in Seattle, and although I didn't want to leave, it's nice to be home just in time for the weekend.  Happy Friday, everyone!

Post-manicure: short and nude, just like I like them
This week I'm spending a couple of days in Seattle for a blogger panel with Nordstrom and Glam Media.  I'll be in really good company for the panel (with Mara, Devon, and Sierra), but yesterday I was on my own to explore Downtown Seattle.  The city is really beautiful, and I've decided that I must come back when I can stay for a few nights.  Above are a few Instagram shots from yesterday, and there are more to come (so follow along!).  Hope everyone is having a great week!

Zara vest; Tank via No Rest for Bridget; Zara shorts; Urban Outfitters wedges; Gorjana necklace and ring; Amrita Singh bangles
As predicted, these silk shorts from Zara have been in high rotation since summer temperatures arrived.  With a lack of any real plans this weekend (and some much-needed lazy time), I went a little more casual and paired the short shorts with a printed tank and vest combination.  An old favorite pair of wedges and stacked bangles rounded out the look.  Hope everyone had a great weekend!

LAMade dress (c/o) (See below for 20% off); Gerard Darel heels; Vanessa Mooney necklace; JewelMint ring; Engraved bracelet (similar)
One of my favorites in quite a while, I pulled this dress out of the box and immediately put it on.  (Bonus: wrinkle-free.)  I love the color combination of the blush and blue and the simple silhouette for summer.  The slip underneath is ridiculously soft, and the lightweight chiffon overlay makes this one ideal for hot weather.  This time I paired it with a long lariat necklace and matchy-matchy accessories, but next time I'm thinking I'll opt for suede booties and stacks of bangles.  How would you wear it?  Happy Friday, y'all!

Forever 21 romper (old); Banana Republic wedges; Romwe belt; Ray-Ban aviators; JustFab bag (c/o); Jane Basch nameplate necklace (c/o); Julie Vos cuff (c/o); Gorjana Rings (c/o)
Summertime is romper season, and this printed ruffle one was definitely a favorite cheapie find last summer.  Although I don't usually buy much navy, I couldn't pass up this adorable (and slightly random) bird print at a Las Vegas Forever 21.  (Even more random than the bird print?  Probably.)  It's so easy paired with tan wedges and a basic belt.  The bag is still a current favorite, and bare arms mean I can pile on the bangles without snagging sweater sleeves.  Oh summer, it's been far too long.

So far, this week has been warm to say the least, and with highs this weekend in the 90's, I'm pretty sure that summer has officially arrived in Southern California.  Growing up in Louisiana, jeans were always banned from rotation in the summer, but this wide-leg chambray version from Current/Elliott has me changing my mind.  They are so soft and comfortable, and with a lightweight sleeveless blouse, overheating is a little less likely.  A new favorite structured handbag and some old favorite bangles finished off the look.  Hope everyone is having a great week!

This past weekend was one of the most jam-packed (and exhausting) we've had in a while, but it was so much fun.  We celebrated a couple of birthdays with friends and got to attend the beautiful wedding of one of my favorite couples.  On Saturday, we spent a relaxing afternoon wine tasting in Temecula (a definite must if you're ever in the area).  The weather was amazing, the wine was delicious, and the company of good friends made for the perfect way to spend a Saturday.  How was your Memorial Day weekend?
xoxo

Oh, and P.S. - After mentioning my distraught over my lost watch in Friday's post, it was pretty much immediately found.  Bonus points for the weekend.

Well kids, it's Friday, and not just any old Friday.  It's the Friday before a three-day weekend, and I couldn't be happier about it.  Cue the comfy-as-pajamas t-shirt dress and far played-out Zara necklace.  (Listen, after over four years together, I've misplaced my favorite gold watch, and I'm a little out of sorts about it.  I've become attached with a certain embroidered collar, and I'm not taking it off.)  Anyways, I'm pretty excited about some kick-ass plans this weekend, including a little wine-tasting and wedding-going, and I hope you're stoked about your own long weekend.  How will you be spending the next three glorious days?
