Coachella Dreamin': Week 3

And so it begins. This weekend the musical, fashionable, photographic madness known as Coachella descends on the California desert, and so I present you with the third (and not yet final) installment of my Coachella Dreamin' series. I love the contrast of a free-spirited tee paired with sweet and girly lace shorts and tough ankle booties. Add a little color with this fun lavender fringe bag and a hair-wrangling crochet headscarf (which comes in so many amazing colors). Finish the look with oversized shades and statement silver jewelry. Here's wishing all of the festival-goers safe and happy travels. Not attending Coachella this year? Coachella Dreamin': Week 2

Over the last couple of weeks, I've received many emails from readers asking for style advice for a few upcoming music festivals (including Coachella and New Orleans' own Jazz Fest), so I've decided to make last week's Coachella Dreamin' post the beginning in a short series. My hope is that you'll find your inspiration (or the exact pieces you want to wear, actually) in this roundup of the best sweat-ready, dance-friendly, studded, fringed, tie-dyed, ripped and destroyed festival-perfect clothes and accessories. Today's look is a battle of the Kates: a little Kate Moss edge meets Kate Bosworth boho-chic by combining a basic studded tee with hand dyed denim cutoffs. Add comfortable sandals, a hands-free messenger (a theme you'll notice I tend to stick to when any concert is involved) and muted silver jewelry for a notice-me look that won't weigh you down.
