If your upcoming weeks are packed with cocktail this and gift exchange that and every like soiree in between, it can be a little stressful coming up with enough party-perfect looks. The best way to keep your sanity without blowing your budget is to focus on dressed-up accessories. I picked up this sparkly little belt at The Limited recently, and it has completely changed my holiday wardrobe. It adds an extra special touch to even the simplest LBD, and suddenly anything in my closet can be holiday-ready in a snap. For a little cocktail party recently, I layered the belt over this little purple Walter Baker number (super duper score at T.J.Maxx) and added a subtle leopard heel. Insta-party. Hope everyone is having a great week!

There are probably about a million methods to online shopping, and recently I noticed a definite method of my own. I browse around, adding anything and everything (usually in multiple colors and sizes) to my cart. (I may have a little problem with indecision from time to time. Or perhaps it's just a shopping problem. Not quite sure.) It's my favorite form of procrastination, really, and a serious problem when I'm on any kind of deadline. After shopping every department and hitting the sale section as a final measure, I head to my shopping cart to start making the decisions. This is the hard part, of course, and additional procrastination from anything else in life is required.
The other night while killing a few hours over on the VAULT website (a real problem recently), I noticed a little trend going on in my overstuffed shopping cart. Apparently, I've got a little thing for snake prints. The tote bags above really rock my socks, and I must admit, mine was delivered to my door yesterday. It's the perfect size for schlepping half the things I own through an airport (usually the case), or, in all seriousness, it's ideal for my laptop, camera, and random other flight necessities. I can't wait to break it in for Thanksgiving. For a night out, nothing spices up basic black better than a snake-print clutch (or peep-toe heels or sleek cuff). For a casual day look, a printed scarf or faux snake belt adds a little something extra. Want to add a little something extra to your winter wardrobe? Head over to VAULT and do a little cart-filling of your own. Happy shopping!

Nothing breaks up a long week like a fresh pair of kicks and a bauble or two, so today I'm sharing a couple of Friday Favorites from this week. Sole Society jump-started my fall boot obsession with this little suede pair, and I must say I'm pretty obsessed. (Confession: I immediately ripped them out of the box and stomped around the house in them.) They're the perfect transitional booties, and I plan on rocking them with just about everything in my closet: cutoffs and cuffed skinnies, flirty dresses and even a leather mini (see Wednesday's post). And onto the jewels. It's no secret that I'm a big fan of Gorjana and all of their stackable, mixable, matchable gems, and with their recent site relaunch, I'm an even bigger fan. I'm a sucker for delicate little necklaces like this one, and the studded cuff is such a throw-on-and-go, everyday piece. Have you guys checked out the new site remodel? Guaranteed to get your weekend off to a great start. Happy shopping, and an even happier weekend!

Oldie but goodie: Julie Vos jewels. If you haven't checked out the line, today is the day. They are having a major sample sale with so many delicious pieces marked WAY down. (Currently loving these Stingray Bangles) No time like the present to head over and get your shop on.
Happy Friday, everyone! Above are a few of my favorite things this week, including a couple of September issues that I've yet to sink my teeth into. I'm thinking this weekend at the beach will be the perfect time to jump in. Hope everyone has an amazing weekend!
As I mentioned in yesterday's post, this week I came across a great new jewelry line OK1984. From bold gold chains to muted silver pieces, the hand-designed collection is full of versatile statement-makers, all made in Los Angeles. The best part? The line is actually affordable. (I dig a good high-end bauble as much as the next, but let's be real: a girl's gotta pay rent.) Now, OK1984 is sweetening the deal with a little discount shopping incentive. Enter code "MSD30" at checkout and receive 30% off site-wide. (That means something like the Lily Necklace above will cost you around 16 bucks. Score.) Happy Friday, everyone, and happy shopping!

Summer is just so painfully close here in Southern California, and that means it's time to think about swimsuit season. While the suit itself is a pretty key ingredient to a summer by the beach, equally important is a cute coverup that goes from the sand to wherever the afternoon might take you. I'm loving this slightly sheer embroidered boyfriend tunic alone during the day or paired with denim cutoffs and one of their amazingly soft scarves once the sun goes down. If you haven't tried Subtle Luxury's beach-worthy California creations, now is your chance: one lucky reader will win a boyfriend tunic and spun scarf (like in the look above, worth $133) courtesy of Subtle Luxury. Simply follow the rules below. One winner will be announced on Friday, May 17th. Good luck!

Don't worry, we'll keep the whole 30% off + free shipping + free gift wrapping (with code "FORMOM") thing between us.
