For a great alternative to your go-to summer celebrations attire, try a classically cut playsuit in a luxe fabric (like this jacquard version from Topshop) and add a mod twist with black and white colorblocked accessories.  Retro sunglasses and sleek silver jewelry add polish for a look that is perfect for all of your warm weather bridal showers, engagement parties, cocktail hours and everything in between.  Hope everyone has a great weekend!

For a low key day of running errands or jetting off for a summer getaway, revamp your "sweats and sneaks" routine with sporty separates that are both comfortable and chic.  A soft knit hi-lo skirt paired with an easy tank will look pulled together and feel like your favorite PJ's.  Colorblocked gladiator sandals and a studded handbag keep the look from bordering boring, and sleek, menswear-inspired silver jewelry adds the perfect final touch.

For the third and final post of my Minnetonka Style Challenge (see the first two looks here and here), I chose these adorable suede studded moccasins that are cute, comfortable and surprisingly versatile.  This past weekend I paired them with an easy (and super affordable at just under $11) floral mini dress and the hat that has become one of my new summer staples.  Simple silver jewelry, shades and a bold clutch pulled it all together for a look that was perfect for a Sunday morning brunch.

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Minnetonka Moccasin (See Exhibits A and B), so I was thrilled when they asked me to style three looks using their ultra comfortable and chic footwear.  Today's post is the first in a series of three, and I chose a fringe-embellished tank (that I'm currently obsessed with) and loose silk shorts to play up the bohemian vibe of the line's angled fringe boots.  Silver jewels, a snakeskin clutch and a mane-taming headband completed the look for an easy chic warm-weather vibe.  Even better?  Minnetonka is giving away a pair of these amazing fringed boots to one lucky reader!  Simply follow the rules below to enter.  (Sorry guys, this one is open to US residents only.)  A winner will be announced on Monday, July 2nd.  Good luck!

Create a perfectly-balanced summer look by layering lightweight knits with more structured pieces like an edgy denim vest, wooden wedges, and a leather satchel.  Finish with a striped scarf, stacked bangles and tortoise-shell sunglasses for an easy breezy look that will work for a wide variety of weekend plans.

For a carefree summer grunge look, think five key aspects: a loose-fitting tank, denim cutoffs, tough summer booties (hint: perforated for breathability), a touch of neon and stacked mixed metals.  Finish with a pair of chic shades and wind-blown waves for an easy Kate Moss-esque vibe.  Happy Wednesday!

Dear Diary,
I'm getting married in a little over a month, and I'm stumped on what to wear to my rehearsal dinner.  I've recently lost weight, so I'd like something appropriate and fun that shows off my curves.  Any suggestions?
- Michelle M.
Dear Michelle,
With all the decision-making that goes into planning a wedding, your rehearsal dinner outfit is the last thing you need weighing on your mind.  Keep it simple with a sleek white shift embellished with a fun peplum detail that will hug your curves but is still appropriate enough to wear in front of your families.  And who says you can't get a head start on that whole "Something Blue" thing?  These silver and blue heels add a burst of color, while standout silver jewelry (LOVE the bib necklace) and a metallic clutch complete the look.  Hope this helps scratch a few things off your wedding to-do list!

Dear Diary,
I will be going to the city for a pub crawl on the 4th of July, and I'm having trouble putting together an outfit.  Any suggestions?
- Karissa R.
Dear Karissa,
A great nautical ensemble is one of the easiest and freshest looks for summer, and it's perfect for July 4th.  Start with a striped, throw-on-and-go shift dress in a lightweight cotton, and add a great pair of sandals.  Complete the look with a red handbag and simple gold-tone accessories for a casual and comfortable vibe.  Stay tuned for more fun July 4th looks!
