One look at these chunky rainbow platforms, and I was instantly in a springtime state of mind.  Wear them now with blue skinny jeans and this eye-catching knotted knit top.  Accessorize with a bright handbag and this red-trimmed gold collar necklace.  Once spring's warm weather is here to stay, pair these statement heels with a little black dress for a night out or with cuffed shorts and a sheer blouse for a dressed-up brunch with the girls.

With spring break just around the corner, (even if you plan on spending your grown-up "spring break" lounging in your own backyard) there's no better time to start that time consuming search for the perfect suit.  Before sorting through the countless brands on the market, allow me to throw out one more: Skye Swimwear.  With fits ranging from a barely-there-tanline bandeau to a tummy-concealing one piece, there really is a suit to fit almost any body type.  (For those of us who are, ahem, well-endowed, the Underwire 2-Way tie-back top, pictured above, is amazing for cup sizes D through E.)  Once you pick the fit that's right for you, choose from solids or a variety of prints, including the adorable nautical-inspired "Chain Reaction" suit above.  Check them out on Facebook, or head over to the company's Store Locator to find a retailer near you.

Dear Diary,
I've been invited to New Orleans Fashion Week, and I've never been.  I'm really looking forward to it, but I have no idea what to wear.  Do people usually dress up?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!
- Katie
Dear Katie,
There's no better time than fashion week (regardless of the city) to dress up and show off your style, and if you're unsure of the dress code, it is always best to err on the side of overdressed.  Try a black maxi dress (like this Topshop version above that I recently purchased in New York for myself) paired with silver cage wedges and edgy silver jewelry.  Add a small dose of color with this muted blue suede clutch.  If you're feeling a bit more daring, check out the heart-printed jumpsuit below.  Amp up the look with an interesting blazer, orange wedges, and a contrasting print clutch.  (Just remember to keep the mixed prints in similar color families.)  Finish with gold chain-link bracelets and a statement ring.  Hope this helps!

Create an easy layered spring look by playing with mixed textures: pair lightweight silk shorts with a basic tee and structured leather jacket.  Balance the shorts with these eye-catching mesh peep-toe booties, and add a bold pop of color with this crossbody wallet.  Finish the look with silver jewelry accents.

Floral denim is a huge trend for spring, and this muted pair by Current/Elliott is a chic and painless way to ease into the look.  Balance the printed skinnies with a slouchy neutral sweater and menswear-inspired taupe oxfords.  Throw your weekend essentials into this fringed suede messenger, and add a few statement silver jewelry accents.  You'll be surprised how many looks you can get from one pair of floral denim.  Pair them with a simple button-down or basic tee, or if you're feeling bold, try your hand at mixing prints.  If you're worried about printed denim on your curves, balance the slim silhouette with a billowy top.  Intimidated to try new trends?  You?  Never!

The world of beauty products is vast and ever-changing.  From drugstores to specialty retailers, the countless products and tools can make your head spin.  Though there are thousands (millions maybe) of new products on my list to test, here are a few tried and true favorites that will always be found in my makeup bag.  What are some of your favorite beauty products?

Choose me! Love me!" and is just the sort of look I gravitate towards anytime the weather allows.  Add polish with gold accessories and this Uh-Mazing Agate stone ring.

Breathe new life into an old plaid (a la today's Inspiration, Gillian Zinser) by tying it in front and pairing it with a flowing maxi skirt (loving this version from Riller & Fount).  Add blush pink booties and a chain-strap handbag, and finish the look with interesting gold jewelry.  Wear this easy look into spring with open-toe wedges and no-fuss aviators.

Clutch: (c/o) ASOS
The second I laid eyes on the neon pink leather cutout clutch above from ASOS (that I was lucky enough to receive from this year's Independent Fashion Bloggers Conference), it was love at first sight.  Neon is having a HUGE moment, and by the looks of these adorable pieces, it's easy to see why.  Both shocking and nostalgic, these flashback-moments-waiting-to-happen can easily brighten both a dull closet and a bad mood.  Whether paired with light neutrals or black or layered with other spring brights, these pieces are much easier to incorporate into your wardrobe than you might think.  So go ahead, take the neon plunge.

Prepare for spring in some of the season's preppiest pieces: a pleated marigold mini, a cuffed boyfriend blazer and sherbet-orange trimmed wedges.  Update the look with a classic snake clutch and statement gold jewelry.  Twist hair into an of-the-moment topknot, and enjoy an easy chic look that is perfect for the office and beyond.
